He was born in Santiago de Chile, but moved to the Atacama Desert over 20 years ago.
He learned carpentry on his own.His work is characterized by its use of recycled materials and its rustic style.
In 2016, he founded the Carpintero del Desierto Foundation, which helps children and young people at risk in the Atacama Desert.
