Radio-controlled machinery and intelligent sawing, the innovations of Chile at the M&M 2018 trade show

• ESERMA presents its radio-controlled machinery for logging and TEKNIP launches its new SmartSawing Advantage
• Both Chilean companies have more than 15 years of experience in the industry, which makes their participation in the trade show a great contribution for the professional public. 

Bogota, Colombia, February 2018. - Two Chilean companies will be part of the XIV edition of the Technological and Industrial Trade Show of Wood and Furniture that will take place in Corferias (Bogotá) from March 6 to 9. Each will show the latest innovations in machinery and software for the forestry area. 

ESERMA is a company dedicated to providing implementation services, maintenance and repair of heavy machinery, mainly in the forestry area with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. 

"We want to show to the Colombian Market the equipment for forest exploitation of the latest technology that are radio-controlled. In Chile this technology was incorporated 10 years ago with the aim of mitigating the risks associated with this work and reducing employees, especially in exploitation on slopes", says Juan Jose Zuñiga, head of ESERMA's engineering department. 

Among its services is the recovery of damaged machinery, with equipment on the ground and personnel specialized in repairs, which performs a final analysis of the faults and field assessments of each machine. 

They also develop tools aimed at optimizing the productivity and efficiency of equipment for forestry, loading, movement of land or mining, such as bulldozers, forestry towers, trineumatics, excavators and backhoes, among others. 

In addition to the provision of technical service and manufacture of implements for forestry machinery, ESERMA is the official representative in Chile of the brands Konrad, Ventura and Gilbert. 

Within its machinery can be found the Kms 4000, a compact and economical logging tower. The installation operation is carried out by radio-controlled functions. To increase productivity it has automatic functions, allowing the programming and optimization of work cycles, achieving an installation in a fast way and with a high degree of security. ESERMA will be presenting its extensive catalog at stand 358 of Corferias pavilion 18-23. 

On the other hand, TEKNIP will also be present at this edition of the fair, delivering integrated solutions to optimize the wood industry, providing cutting-edge technology and seeking to maximize the use of raw materials. 

They have more than 15 years of experience in this field and have facilities throughout Chile and in various timber plants in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay. 

"During the fair we are going to launch SmartSawing Advantage, our new intelligent sawmill line that operates under optimization and automation logics, allowing maximum profitability in the primary wood processing business. Operates with minimal intervention of people, increases performance, decreases operational costs and maximizes the value produced", says Sebastian Lobos, TEKNIP project manager. 

Within the SmartSawing Advantage line, there is a software for the optimization of cutting and production plans for sawmills, a software for analysis and optimization of cutting schemes, a team that uses 3D heads for three-dimensional measurement and an automatic board demining equipment that with scanner and cutting sensors allow to cut without the need of an operator's decision. 

SmartSawing Advantage have been designed for sawmills with productive capacity from 2,000 to 3,500 cubic meters of output per shift in the month. TEKNIP will be present at stand 458 of pavilion 18-23. 

Visitors to the Technological and Industrial Trade Show of Wood and Furniture will be able to find exhibitors from more than 10 countries, who will arrive with the latest innovations in furniture supplies, design trends, software innovations and cutting-edge machinery for woodworking. 

The fair, organized by the International Business and Exhibition Center of Bogotá (Corferias) and Koelnmesse, promises to be a complete experience for the professional who seeks to know what the industry imposes worldwide, update their knowledge and generate international business alliances.
