The first working tool that operates via Bluetooth will be present at M&M 2018

  • The technology of Makita AWS avoids problems with the connection of the cables, so the tools do not need to be connected to the outlet.
  • Once the tools are connected through the wireless system, the dust extractor will turn on or off automatically.
  • This technology also allows you to connect several tools at the same time, reducing the time to turn them on and off manually.

Bogotá, Colombia, February 2018. - A new technology that allows to synchronize the work done between a tool and a dust extractor through the Bluetooth system, will be presented to the XIV edition of the Technological and Industrial Trade Show of Wood and Furniture, which will take place from 6 to 9 March in Corferias.

Makita AWS (Auto-start Wireless System) or wireless automatic start system, allows you to immediately collect -in the extractor- the dust generated by the tools when working with different materials.

"Once we connect the tools to the automatic start wireless system, the dust extractor will turn on or off automatically; this function depends on whether the tool is working or not. Additionally, AWS technology allows connecting several tools at the same time, reducing working time", says Iris Rubiano, Marketing Manager at Makita Colombia.

The technology of Makita AWS is ideal for work in small spaces or outdoors, where there are not several current outlets. It also allows to reduce continuous noise in workplaces by only having one machine connected.

"For Makita it is important to be a leader in the development and innovation topics, that is why we design more resistant and better quality tools in the market that adapt to the needs of a sector as changing as the timber industry (...) we like our customers have the best of the industry in their hands, that's why during the Wood and Furniture trade show, we will be announcing our latest advances including the Makita AWS", concludes the Marketing Manager of Makita Colombia.

This product can be found at the Technological and Industrial Trade Show of Wood and Furniture, a trade fair that will allow attendees to know this technology of first-hand. They will be located at stand 253 of Pavilion 17 of the Great Oscar Pérez Gutiérrez Hall in Corferias.
